La Bicyclette Jaune will be located in Provence in the south east of France. Provence impresses with beautiful vistas, charming villages, and wondrous works of ancient Rome, still standing after almost 2,000 years. Bound by the Alps and Italy to the east and the Rhone River to the west, and with the Mediterranean Sea providing its southern border, most of Provence has a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers, mild winters, little snow, and abundant sunshine.
The property will be located in the vicinity of the city of Aix-en-Provence, within the department of Bouches-du-Rhône. Easily accessible, Aix-en-Provence is twenty five kilometers from the Marseille-Marignane airport, the chief hub for regular scheduled airlines serving the region: Air France, British Airways, Air Littoral, AOM, and Air Liberté. Major rail traffic from Paris arrives at the new TGV train station in Aix in three and a half hours. The TGV Mediterranée links Aix-en-Provence with the whole of France as well as Europe (direct lines to Brussels, Geneva, and connections to London, Amsterdam, Cologne and Milan).
